Abstract: Objective To conduct a comparative analysis of key urinalysis indicators across different gender and age groups among middle-aged and elderly individuals in Guangdong, based on routine health check-up data from the Guangzhou Daan Clinical Testing Center. The study aims to explore the characteristics of indicator changes and understand their impact on the health of this demographic. Methods Data from urinalysis of 12,450 middle-aged and elderly indi-viduals from Guangdong, collected between May 2017 and April 2022,were randomly selected.Five key indicators-pH,nitrite,leukocytes,occult blood, and glucose-were analyzed to compare distribution differences across different age groups and genders. Results Gender differences significantly influenced the positive rates of nitrite, leukocytes, and oc-cult blood indicators(P<0.01),with females showing higher rates than males in the same age group.Age differences significantly impacted the overall pH values(P<0.01)and nitrite positive rates(P<0.05),with middle-aged individ-uals of the same gender having higher pH values and lower nitrite positive rates compared to elderly individuals.Middle-aged males exhibited significantly higher positive rates of occult blood and glucose compared to elderly males(P<0.05).Conclusion In middle-aged and elderly populations in Guangdong, the abnormal rates of nitrite, leukocytes, and oc-cult blood in urinalysis in females are higher than those in males. The abnormal rates of occult blood and glucose in urinal-ysis in middle-aged males are higher than those in elderly males.
