Abstract: Lung cancer is the most common cause of cancer death worldwide.Carcinogenesis of the majority of lung cancer is closely related to smoking status, but about 10%-25% of lung cancer patients are non-smokers.With the deep mining of lung cancer research, lung cancer in never smokers (LCINS) has been found as a unique entity, which is most commonly found in female adenocarcinoma patients. Therefore, understanding the occurrence and development of LCINS is particularly important for the clinical management and treatment of this population. This article described the progress of research on the epidemiology, risk factors, characteristics, treatment and prognosis of LCINS in recent years.
