Abstract: Asymptomatic carotid stenosis (ACS) is associated with cognitive impairment, which can lead to cognitive decline and thus affect the quality of life of patients. This article reviews the characteristics, mechanisms, and interventions of cognitive impairment in patients with ACS, with the aim of early identification and intervention to avoid patients missing the best treatment opportunity.
