Abstract: Objective To explore the clinical effectiveness of home-based self-help cardiac rehabilitation programs in patients with chronic heart failure. Methods Totally 96 patients with chronic heart failure admitted to our hospital from June 2021 to June 2022 were included as the study subjects, and they were randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to routine intervention(control group)or home-based self-help cardiac rehabilitation programs(study group). The clinical intervention effects of the two groups were compared. Results After the intervention, patients of both groups presented significantly higher left ventricular ejection fraction(P<0.05),and significantly lower left ventricular end systolic diameter and left ventricular end diastolic diameter than those before the intervention(P<0.05),the levels of the above cardiac function indicators in the study group were better than those in the control group(P<0.05).The anxiety and depression scores of both groups after intervention were significantly lower than those before intervention, and which were significantly lower in the study group than in the control group(P<0.05).The mastery of disease and health knowledge in the study group was significantly higher than that of the control group(93.75%[45/48]vs 79.17%[38/48],P<0.05).The dimensions and total scores of self-care ability in the study group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The quality of life scores of both groups after intervention were significantly higher than those before intervention(P<0.05),which were significantly higher in the study group than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion For patients with chronic heart failure, implement a home-based self-help cardiac rehabilitation program can improve their heart function, promote their mastery of disease health knowledge and self-care ability, alleviate negative emotions, and thereby improve their quality of life.
