Abstract: Objective To understand the current prevalence and influencing factors of dyslipidemia in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)in Hebei Province. Methods Using data from the Hebei Diabetes Complications Study,we analyzed the prevalence of dyslipidemia in 1,844 T2DM patients aged 18 years and older in four districts and counties in Hebei Province, and a multifactorial logistic regression analysis model was performed to explore the factors associated with the prevalence of dyslipidemia in T2DM patients. Results Among 1,844 T2DM patients, the prevalence of dyslipidemia was 60.7%(1,112/1,844).The abnormal prevalence of total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)were 26.5%,8.3%,25.4%and 9.8%,respectively.The results of multifactorial logistic regression model analysis showed that the prevalence of dyslipidemia was significantly lower in urban diabetic patients(OR=0.766,95%CI:0.621-0.944,P<0.001),and the abnormal prevalence of central obesity(OR=15.476,95%CI:11.111-21.556,P<0.001),hypertension(OR=1.543,95%CI:1.244-1.914,P<0.001)were at higher risk of dyslipidemia. Conclusion The prevalence of dyslipidemia is significantly higher in patients with T2DM in some areas of Hebei province, and patients with T2DM should focus on lipid levels.
