Abstract: Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of a graded intervention plan based on Orem's self-care theory in patients with cubital tunnel syndrome. Methods A total of 80 patients with cubital tunnel syndrome admitted from April 2019 to March 2022 were included as the study subjects. They were randomly divided into the control group(n=40)and observation group(n=40).Patients in the control group received routine intervention, while those in the observation group received a graded intervention plan based on Orem's self-care theory.Intervention effects of the two groups were compared. Results The excellent and good rate of functional recovery in the observation group was significantly higher than that of control group(95.00%vs 75.00%,P<0.05).The pain level scores of both groups after interventions were significantly lower than those before intervention, which were significantly lower in the observation group than those of the control group(P<0.05).The score of sleep quality in both groups after intervention was significantly lower than before intervention, which was significantly lower in the observation group than that of the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group(2.50%vs 20.00%,P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction score of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Implementing a graded intervention plan based on Orem's self-care theory in patients with cubital tunnel syndrome can promote functional recovery, reduce pain, improve sleep quality, and lower the incidence of complications, with a high nursing satisfaction.
