Abstract: Objective To analyze the application of peplau interpersonal relationship theory in blood glucose manage-ment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods 60 patients with type 2 diabetes were selected and divided into study group and control group with 30 cases in each group by random number table method. The control group was provided with routine blood glucose care, while the study group was provided with blood glucose management guided by peplau interpersonal rela-tionship theory.Blood glucose index,self-care ability and medication compliance were compared between the two groups.Re-sults The fasting blood glucose(FPG),2h postprandial blood glucose(2hPG)and glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c)of the study group were significantly lower than those of the control group, and the self-care score and medication compliance of the study group were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Providing blood glucose manage-ment intervention guided by peplau interpersonal relationship theory can improve blood glucose management efficiency,self-care ability and medication compliance of type 2 diabetes patients.
