Abstract: Objective To analyze the role of clinical laboratory testing in Chinese peacekeeping medical detachment,as well as issues of common testing projects, time distribution and reagent management in peacekeeping practice. Methods Related data on testing projects and reagents conducted from January 2021 to December 2022 at a Chinese Level Ⅱ hospi-tal in the south sector of the Democratic Republic of Congo was retrospectively analyzed. The quantity of inspection tests, time distribution, classification distribution, reagent shelf life and storage temperature were analyzed. Results The re-sults showed that the most common testing projects from January 2021 to December 2022 were blood routine(567 cases),followed by malaria rapid diagnostic test(439 cases)and liver function test(328 cases). In 2021 and 2022,the peak time of detection was from January to February and from June to August, while the low period was in April,September and October. In the biochemical detection, liver function, renal function and uric acid testing were the most common test i-tems;in the clinical detection, blood routine, malaria rapid diagnostic test and stool routine test were the most common i-tems;in the immunological detection,5 indexes of hepatitis B,human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)test and hepatitis C virus(HCV)test were the most common items. Conclusion Laboratory testing plays an important role in peacekeeping Chinese Level Ⅱ hospital, which suggests targeted preparation of reagents when conducting tests. To address reagent management issues,it is recommended to choose reagents with low-temperature requirements and long shelf life and to prepare blood routine, malaria and liver function test kits in advance. This study provides a reference for improving the quality of testing in peacekeeping medical teams.
