Abstract: Objective To observe the clinical effect of phacoemulsification combined with intravitreal anti-vascular endothelial growth factor(anti-VEGF)injection in treating cataract combined with various macular edema.Meth-ods A retrospective case-control study.20 cases of ophthalmic inpatient cataract combined with various macular diseases(diabetic macular edema, senile macular degeneration, high myopia CNV)from January 2019 to December 2022 were col-lected and were randomly divided into two groups. The A group(10 patients)received phacoemulsification combined with intraocular lens implantation, intraoperative intravitreal anti-VEGF drug injection. The B group(10 patients)underwent phacoemulsification combined with intraocular lens implantation. The follow-up period was 1-month,the differences in an-terior chamber and vitreous condition, best corrected visual acuity(BCVA),macular foveal thickness(CMT),and intra-ocular pressure between the two groups were observed. Results The postoperative CMT and intraocular pressure(IOP)compared with preoperative were decreased in A group, and were significantly different from B group(P<0.05).The BCVA improved in bothgroups compared with preoperative, and A group was significantly better than B group(P<0.05).Conclusions Cataract ultrasound combined with vitreous anti-VEGF drugs is safe and effective in the treatment of cata-ract and macular edema, and is worth popularizing.
