Abstract： Since the occurrence and spread of corona virus disease 2019(COVID-19),professor HU Shiping has been ac-tively engaged in the prevention and treatment of COVID-19 with traditional Chinese medicine.For the understanding of the eti-ology and pathogenesis of COVID-19 in traditional Chinese medicine,its interpretation is mainly based on wind,cold,dampness,heat and deficiency.For the prevention and treatment of COVID-19,professor HU Shiping has proposed a three-step strategy of diagnosis and treatment,namely,prevention before onset,controlling development of existing disease and rehabilitation after recov-ery.According to the characteristics of climate change in Shenzhen and the differences in population endowment and physique,a series of prescriptions for Yiduqing Powder(疫毒清散),Qingwen Powder(清瘟散),series prescriptions of Yiduqing Powder and series prescriptions COVID-19 rehabilitation cover the whole cycle of prevention,treatment and rehabilitation of COVID-19.The facts have proved that professor HU Shiping's use of the whole cycle TCM diagnosis and treatment strategy to prevent and treat COVID-19 has not only effectively controlled the spread of the epidemic in the limited time and region at the initial stage of COVID-19,but also greatly alleviated the symptoms of patients during the treatment period,and greatly improved the health level of patients during the rehabilitation period.
