Abstract： Traditional Chinese medicine master SHI Xuemin has been practicing medicine for decades.He is good at gather-ing public prescriptions and making the ancient theory serve the present problems.He is good at syndrome differentiation."Awak-ening the brain and opening the mind"acupuncture method created by SHI Xuemin can"awaken,regulate and calm the mind".This treatment can not only treat stroke,but also treat medical miscellaneous diseases,which has achieved remarkable results in clinical practice.It summarized the thought of regulating the mind.This article enumerated the clinical cases of epilepsy,convul-sion,consumptive disease and Meiheqi treated by"awakening the brain and opening the mind"acupuncture.These cases reflected the thought of treating different diseases with the same method and syndrome differentiation.Through the analysis of the above ca-ses of different diseases,this paper summarized the clinical experience of"awakening the brain and opening the mind"acupunc-ture and showed the thought of differentiation of symptoms and signs,in order to provide reference for clinical application of"a-wakening the brain and opening the mind"acupuncture.
