Abstract: Sequelae during the recovery period of pneumonia seriously affect the physical and mental health of patients. There is a risk of secondary infection, and the interaction with the underlying diseases leads to a vicious circle.Managing the recovery period of pneumonia, reducing sequelae and preventing the recurrent attacks is the first choice for disease prevention and treat-ment.Studies have shown that the mechanism of long-term sequelae and recurrent episodes of pneumonia may be related to per-sistent immune suppression, systemic micro-inflammation and microvascular injury. The team put forward"Qi deficiency and blood stasis"is the core pathogenesis of convalescent period of pneumonia according to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, combined with the long-term clinical and basic research. Therefore, the team has proposed that the mechanism of the method of invigorating Qi and activating blood circulation in the treatment of"preventing recurrence"of pneumonia is related to regulating the damage of immune inflammatory microvessels, regulating the disorder of T lymphocytes to improve immunity, inhibiting inflam-matory factors to improve the state of micro inflammation of the body and antioxidant protection of endothelial cells to regulate the damage of microvessels.Clarifying its internal mechanism will provide theoretical basis for the treatment of major infectious disea-ses of the respiratory system by traditional Chinese medicine, inheriting the essence, maintaining the integrity and innovating.
