Abstract： Alzheimer's disease(AD),as a chronic neurodegenerative disease in the elderly,initially manifests as memory im-pairment,gradually develops cognitive impairment as the disease progresses,and eventually develops into various mental and be-havioral disorders,bringing heavy costs to society and families.As an irreversible disease,its pathogenesis is currently mainly based on proposing several hypotheses.Cellular autophagy,as one of the important pathways to maintain body stability,has been found to play a crucial role in the development of AD and is currently a hot topic in research on AD.This article explained the process of autophagy involved in AD and the research progress of acupuncture and moxibustion on AD from the perspective of au-tophagy,so as to provide ideas for later AD research.
