Abstract： Objective To analyze the effect of Taohe Chengqi Decoction on vascular dementia(VD)and its effect on neuroelec-trophysiology.Methods Ninety-four cases of VD patients in our hospital from March 2021 to May 2023 were selected as the research object and randomly divided into the control group and the observation group,with forty-seven cases in each group.The control group was treated with conventional Western medicine,and the observation group was treated with Taohe Chengqi decoction.The clinical effi-cacy,simple Intelligent mental State Scale(MMSE),VD syndrome Differentiation Scale(SDSVD),Barthel index(BI),Clinical de-mentia Degree Scale(CDR),TCM syndrome score,neuroelectrophysiology(P300 latency,P300 vibration),middle cerebral artery(MCA)and anterior cerebral artery(ACA)Blood flow rate level were compared between the two groups.Results The clinical effect of the observation group was 95.74%higher than that of the control group 80.85%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,Barthel index and MMSE scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and SDS-VD and CDR scores were lower than those in the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).After treatment,the scores of memory loss,speech reversal,and expression dullness were decreased in two groups,and the observation group was lower than the con-trol group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in temperament change scores be-tween the two groups after treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,the P300 latency level in the observation group was lower than in the control group,and P300 vibration,ACA,and MCA levels were higher than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Taohe Chengqi Decoction can accelerate cerebral blood flow rate,and improve clinical symptoms,cognition,memory and other functions in the treatment of VD.
