Abstract: Psoriasis is a chronic,inflammatory,recurrent and systemic disease caused by multiple factors such as environmental stimulation,polygene genetic control and immune regulation.Inflammatory factors play an important role in the occurrence and development of psoriasis.Whole exome sequencing(WES)identified the absent in melanoma 2(AIM2)gene as the susceptibility gene of psoriasis.The AIM2 protein encoded by the AIM2 gene can recognize double-stranded DNA and induce the caspase activation and recruitment domain(CARD)of apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a CARD(ASC)to recruit cysteine-requiring aspartate protease-1(caspase-1)to form a high molecular weight protein complex-AIM2 inflammasome.Domestic and foreign researchers have focused on the role of AIM2 gene and AIM2 inflammasome in psoriasis,and have made some progress.In this article,the research progress of AIM2 gene and AIM2 inflammasome in psoriasis in recent five years was reviewed.
