Abstract: Objective To explore the effect of nurse clinical thinking exercises and retrospective analysis in the induction training for newly recruited nurses. Methods From August to October 2022,52 nurses newly recruited to a Grade Ⅲ-A hospital in 2022 were selected by convenience sampling. They were di-vided into the control group(n=26)and the observation group(n=26)using a random number table. The nurses in the control group received traditional induction training(theoretical instruction+simulated prac-tical operations)while those in the observation group additionally received nurse clinical thinking exer-cises(vSim)and retrospective analysis after each exercise. At the end of the 2-month induction training, the operation examination scores and clinical thinking competence scores(assessed via a clinical thinking competence assessment scale)were compared between the two groups. Results At the end of induction training, the total scores of operation examination and clinical thinking competence were higher than those before intervention in both groups(P<0.05);the total scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group with a significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Integrating nurse clinical thinking exercises with retrospective analysis in induction training for newly recruited nurses can enhance their clinical operation skills and thinking compe-tence and help them adapt to their new roles more quickly. This approach can improve the training effect among newly recruited nurses, thereby up-grading clinical nursing quality.
