Abstract: Objective To explore the application value of endoscopic ultrasound(EUS)combined with serum squamous cell carcinoma antigen(SCC)and carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA19-9)detection in early esophageal cancer screening. Methods EUS was used to detect 60 patients with suspected early esophageal cancer, and the serum SCC and CA19-9 levels were detected by automatic biochemical analyzer.Using the pathological examination results under gastroscopy as the gold standard, analyzed the diagnostic accuracy of EUS for early esophageal cancer.Divided the study subjects into esophageal cancer group and non esopha-geal cancer group, compared the differences in serum SCC and CA19-9 levels between the 2 groups, and draw the receiver operat-ing characteristic curve(ROC)to analyze the diagnostic accuracy of serum SCC and CA1 9-9 levels,as well as the combined diag-nostic efficacy of EUS for early esophageal cancer. Results The accuracy, specificity, and sensitivity of EUS in diagnosing early esophageal cancer were 90.00%,90.48%,and 89.74%,respectively.Compared with the non esophageal cancer group, the e-sophageal cancer group had lower levels of serum SCC and CA19-9(P<0.05).Drawing ROC curves revealed that the AUC val-ues for serum SCC and CA19-9 screening for early esophageal cancer were 0.705 and 0.714,respectively,with cutoff values of 0.52 pug/L and 45.21 U/ml,with specificity of 66.67%and 71.79%,sensitivity of 71.43%and 76.19%,respectively,they were diagnostic factors for early esophageal cancer. The combination of serum SCC and CA19-9 levels with EUS was used for early esophageal cancer screening in this group. The AUC was 0.960,with a specificity of 94.87%,which was higher than a single fac-tor(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of EUS combined with serum SCC and CA19-9 in early esophageal cancer screening has significant diagnostic value and can improve diagnostic accuracy.
