Abstract: Objective To evaluate the feasibility and safety of interventional embolic chemotherapy for primary liver cancer by radial artery approach. Methods A total of 10 cases of primary liver cancer were selected. The indications of interven-tional embolization chemotherapy for liver cancer were fully evaluated before operation, and radial artery puncture was not contra-indicated.Routine interventional embolization chemotherapy for primary liver cancer was performed through the vascular sheath of the radial artery.Evaluation during interventional therapy:①The success rate of radial artery puncture, the success rate of hepatic artery intubation and the incidence of radial artery spasm;②The probability of peripheral hematoma at the radial artery puncture site within 24 hours after surgery;③The probability of radial venous fistula and radial pseudoaneurysm 1 month after intervention-al surgery was evaluated by ultrasound, and the radial artery stenosis and occlusion were evaluated after catheter insertion;④Pa-tient satisfaction after radial artery intervention. Results ①The success rate of left radial artery puncture was 100%,including 7 cases of successful puncture with 1 needle,2 cases with 2 needles, and 1 case with 3 or more needles. The success rate of common hepatic artery intubation was 100%,and no patients with radial artery spasm occurred;②No periradial hematoma was found in 10 patients within 24 hours after interventional intervention, and subcutaneous ecchymosis at radial artery puncture was found in 3 pa-tients without treatment or intervention;③Postoperative ultrasound showed that the radial artery lumen was narrower than that be-fore surgery in 10 patients, but no occlusion was found, and no complications such as radial dynamic and static fistula and radial pseudotumor were found;④The satisfaction rate was 100%immediately after surgery,9 cases were satisfied one week after surger-y,and the other case was 90%due to pain in the left forearm. Conclusion The feasibility of interventional treatment of liver tumor through radial artery approach is accurate, the adverse reaction is less, the patient satisfaction is high, and it is worthy of fur-ther validation and promotion in clinical application.
