Abstract: Objective To investigate the value of serum HIF-1α and CEA combined with Helicobacter pylori(Hp)in screening for early gastric cancer in elderly patients. Methods 107 patients who underwent gastroscopy due to stomach discom-fort were collected and pathological examination was performed.Serum HIF-1α and CEA levels were detected by double antibody sandwich ELISA,and Hp was qualitatively detected by 13C urea breath test. Results Pathological examination of 107 patients showed that there were 10 cases of early gastric cancer(gastric cancer group),30 cases of precancerous lesions(precancerous le-sion group),and 67 cases of chronic superficial gastritis(superficial gastritis group). Then 67 cases of precancerous lesion group and superficial gastritis group were included in the control group. The positive rates of HIF-1α,CEA and Hp in serum were com-pared between the 3 groups,P<0.05.The positive rates of HIF-1 α,CEA and Hp were compared between the 2 groups,P>0.05;the positive rates of HIF-1α,CEA and HP were compared between the 2 groups,P<0.05.HIF-1 α(OR:3.543,95%CI:2.054~11.652),CEA(OR:3.239,95%CI:1.745~65.322),Hp positive rate(OR:3.127,95%CI:1.341-6.875)were risk factors for early gastric cancer in elderly patients. The diagnostic efficacy of serum HIF-1α and CEA combined with Hp was higher than that of single detection(P<0.05).Conclusion Serum HIF-1α and CEA combined with Helicobacter pylori detection have high diagnostic efficacy in elderly patients with early gastric cancer screening, and can be used as an evaluation index of risk factors. The application of the combined detection method is helpful to improve the detection rate of early gastric cancer, and provides a valuable reference for screening and early diagnosis of gastric cancer in the elderly.
