Abstract: Objective To develop a hypoxia-based gene model to assess prognosis and immune microenvironment of skin cuta-neous melanoma(SKCM).Methods Public database(TCGA,GEO,GTEx)was used to search SKCM cases.Cox regression analysis was used to screen genes for hypoxia-related traits.A risk model containing seven hypoxia genes was constructed.GSEA was used to com-pare enrichment differences between the two groups, using the CIBERSORT tool to investigate potential correlations between immune cells and genetic signatures. Results Seven genes(FBP1,GPI,BGN,SERPINE1,SDC4,PGM1,EGFR)contained in the SKCM hypoxia model were found to have a lower survival rate in the high-risk group than in the low-risk group. In addition,we found significant differ-ences in the infiltration of nine immune cells in the tissues of patients in the high-and low-risk groups. Conclusion Hypoxia is associated with the prognosis and the incidence of immune cell infiltration in SKCM patients, which provides an immunological perspective for the de-velopment of personalized therapy.
