Abstract: Objective To explore the clinical application effect of the small incision combined with 2%iodine tincture injection treating of facial sebaceous cysts. Methods Seventy-nine patients with facial sebaceous cyst were randomly divided into an observation group(n=41)and a control group(n=38)using a number table method. The observation group was treated with a small incision combined with 2%iodine tincture injection. The control group was treated with total cystectomy through a straight incision.Observe the duration of surgery for both groups of patients.Follow up for 6 months after surgery to observe the local recurrence of sebaceous cyst, and score the postoperative scars using the vancouver scar scale(VSS).Conduct a patient satisfaction survey. Results No local recurrence occurred in 79 cases. The observation group had a surgical duration of(10.14±2.23)min,while the control group had a surgical duration of(15.78±4.66)min.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The VSS score of the observation group was 0.44±0.50,while the VSS score of the control group was 1.71±1.95,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The satisfaction rate of the observation group was 100%,while the satisfaction rate of the control group was 97.37%.There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups. The comparison of the composition ratio of satisfaction between the two groups shows that the observation group had a higher proportion of"very satisfied",and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of the small inci-sion and 2%iodine tincture injection for treating facial sebaceous cysts has the advantages of simplicity, safety, and a small scar.At the same time, the treatment of the cyst wall with 2%iodine tincture injection can also avoid recurrence.
