Abstract: Microtia is a relatively common congenital craniofacial malformation, and auricular reconstruction is always the pre-ferred treatment method. At present, auricular reconstruction using the tissue expander has gradually become the main surgical method for the treatment of congenital microtia in China.Satisfactory skin expansion is the prerequisite and basis for subsequent auricular reconstruc-tion.However,postoperative complications of stage Ⅰ auricular reconstruction are not rare.In this review, authors introduced common complications after postauricular expander implantation surgery,as well as the prevention and treatment measures for them.
