Abstract: Objective To explore the efficacy of laser combined with anti-vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)drugs in the treatment of diabetic retinopathy(DR).Methods A total of 186 patients with DR Treated in Yongkang Kangli Eye Hospital from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the study objects and divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 93 cases in each group. The control group received laser treatment and the observation group received laser combined drug treatment. The clinical efficacy, best corrected visual acuity, macular thickness, nitric oxide synthase(NOS),interleukin-6(IL-6),VEGF,malondialdehyde(MDA),late protein oxidation products(AOPP),total antioxidant capacity(TAC)and complications rate were compared be-tween the two groups. Results The clinical efficacy of the observation group was better than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the optimal corrected visual acuity,NOS and TAC were increased, and the macular thickness,IL-6,VEGF,MDA and AOPP were decreased in both groups, and the above indexes in the observation group were better than those in the control group, and the differences were statis-tically significant(all P<0.05).There was no significant difference in complications rate between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of DR Disease, laser combined with anti-VEGF can improve visual acuity, reduce macular thickness, regulate the levels of NOS,IL-6 and VEGF,and alleviate oxidative stress.
