Abstract: Venous leg ulcer(VLU)is a common ulcerative disease in clinic,accounting for about 70%of leg ulcers.Due to its slow healing and easy recurrence,patients need long-term repeated treatment,which not only increases the daily life and work burden of patients,but also increases their economic and psychological pressure.Based on domestic and foreign literatures,this paper reviewed the etiology and pathogenesis of VLU in Chinese medicine,Western medicine and modern external treatment of traditional Chinese and Western medicine,in order to provide reference for clinical treatment.
