Abstract: Objective To investigate the effect of intraoperative intervention on postoperative lower extremity deep vein thrombosis(DVT)during postoperative hospitalization in orthopedic patients.Method The clinical data of 80 orthopedic patients who underwent surgical treatment at the Affiliated Hospital of West Anhui Health Vocational College from August 2019 to May 2023 were collected. The patients were divided into intraoperative intervention group(n=42)and control group(n=38)based on whether intervention measures for DVT prevention were implemented during the surgery. The surgical related information, postoperative treatment status, incidence of lower extremity DVT during hospitalization,D-dimer results and coagulation function indicators before discharge of two groups of patients were compared.Result Both groups of patients did not experience significant surgical related complications during the surgery. There were no statistically significant differences in the surgical site, intraoperative blood loss, and proportion of postoperative low molecular weight heparin treatment between the two groups of patients(P>0.05).The proportion of patients in the intervention group receiving general anesthesia and the proportion of patients with hypothermia during surgery were lower than those in the control group, and the surgery time was shorter than that in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).During the postoperative hospitalization period, neither group of patients experienced lower extremity DVT.However, the proportion of elevated D-dimer levels and average D-dimer levels in the intervention group before discharge were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in prothrombin time and activated partial thromboplastin time between the two groups of patients before discharge and before surgery in this group,as well as between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Intraoperative intervention can reduce the risk of lower extremity DVT in orthopedic surgery patients during hospitalization, and has high safety.
