Abstract: Objective The purpose of this study was to analyze the use of class Ⅱ psychotropic drugs in the outpatient and emergency department of a third class hospital in 2023.Methods The data of 11 657 outpatient and emergency prescriptions in a third class hospital in 2023 were analyzed,including age,department distribution,and daily dose system(DDDs),define daily dose cost(DDDc),B/A ratio(B/A),drug utilization index(DUI)and other indicators.Results Patients over 60 years old had the highest proportion of prescriptions.The department of neurology,cardiovascular medicine and other departments used the most;dexzopiclone tablets(3 mg)and esazolam tablets(1 mg)were the most frequently used tablets,44.20%and 40.11%,respectively.The DDDc of alprazolam tablets was the lowest,and the DDDc of dizopam injection was the highest.The B/A values of alprazolam tablets and dexzopiclone tablets(3 mg)were greater than 1.The DUI value of dezocine injection was 1.41,and that of dexzopiclone tablet(3 mg)was 1.02.Conclusion The use of class Ⅱ psychotropic drugs in this hospital is basically reasonable,but the supervision of individual drugs needs to be strengthened.The study results can provide reference for rational drug use in clinical practice and ensure the safety of drug use.
