Abstract： Objective Observing the effect of traditional Chinese medicine re yan bao on the treatment of children bronchial pneumonia and its impact on the prognosis of the patients.Methods Selecting 112 children with bronchial pneumonia admitted Jiaozuo Maternal and Child Health Hospital between January 2022 and December 2022 as the study subjects.According to the admission order,112 children were randomly divided into a western medicine group(56 cases)and a combination group(56 cases)using a random number table method.The western medicine group received routine western medicine treatment,while the combination group received traditional Chinese medicine re yan bao combined with routine western medicine treatment.The inflammatory factors,pulmonary function improvement,and clinical symptom relief and the prognosis of the two groups were compared.Results Under different treatment regimens,the levels of C-reactive protein,procalcitonin,and interleukin-6 in the combination group were lower than those in the western medicine group;the clinical pulmonary infection scale(CPIS)scores of the combination group after 3 and 7 days of treatment were lower than those of the western medicine group.The respiratory rate of the combination group after treatment was lower than that of the western medicine group,with peak time to peak and peak volume to peak ratios were higher than those of the western medicine group.The cough disappearance time,sputum disappearance time,fever reduction time,pulmonary rale disappearance time,and lung X-ray shadow absorption time of the combination group were ower than those in the western medicine group.The recurrence rate of the combination group after treatment was 3.57%,lower than that of the western medicine group at 17.86%and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the combination group was 10.71%,higher than that in the western medicine group at 7.14%,with no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion The traditional Chinese medicine re yan bao can effectively promote the recovery of airway inflammation,lung function,and clinical symptoms in children bronchial pneumonia;can reduce the recurrence rate of the disease without increasing the risk of adverse reactions,and has a positive significance in improving the prognosis of children.
