Abstract： Peppermint volatile oil has the multiple pharmacological effects of anti-inflammatory,antioxidation,antibacterial and antiviral,and widely used in compound preparations.In this paper,the main components,extraction methods,quality control of menthol oil and its preparations were reviewed,which provided a reference for the quality control of menthol oil in preparations.
