Abstract: OBJECTIVE To investigate and compare the use of drugs for COPD in medical institutions,so as to provide reference for promoting the standardized treatment of COPD.METHODS A questionnaire survey was conducted among the doctors and pharmacists in community health service centers and tertiary hospitals, and the use rate of COPD drugs was analyzed to evaluate the availability of COPD drugs in medical institutions.RESULTS The study surveyed a total of 11 community health service centers and 22 tertiary hospitals. The survey showed that the most common COPD drugs were mainly expectorant, theophylline and short acting β2 receptor agonist, the use rates of which were 95%,95%and 91%in tertiary hospitals respectively, while the use rates were 91%,91%and 82%in community health service centers respectively.Relatively speaking, the use rates of long acting bronchodilators and their compound preparation were low, moreover, the second and third drugs use rates of community health service centers were only 18%and 27%.The main factors affecting the drug use rate of medical institutions were the clinical demand and whether the drug was included in the basic drug catalogue.CONCLUSION At present, the supply of drugs for COPD in medical institutions was not satisfactory. It should actively promote COPD drugs with evidence of comprehensive drug evaluation to be included in the basic drug catalogue. At the same time,it should further improve the use rate of inhaled antiasthmatic drugs in medical institutions to meet the actual clinical demand.
