Abstract： OBJECTIVE Tsinghua University Yuquan Hospital developed a traditional Chinese medicine mouthwash specifically tailored to the common types of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndrome(wind-heat toxicity syndrome)in the stomatology de-partment,aiming to provide auxiliary treatment for oral diseases.A survey was conducted among patients in the stomatology depart-ment to assess their satisfaction with the traditional Chinese medicine mouthwash,analyze its usage patterns,and offer insights for its clinical application.METHODS From October 2022 to January 2023,a questionnaire survey was administered to patients treated at Yuquan Hospital's Stomatology Department.A total of 200 questionnaires were distributed,out of which 188 were effectively col-lected,resulting in an effective response rate of 94%.RESULTS Among the 188 patients surveyed,158(93.52%)expressed satisfac-tion with the efficacy of Tsinghua University Yuquan Hospital's TCM mouthwash.Likewise,157(92.35%)were satisfied with its taste and 169(89.89%)indicated willingness to recommend it to other relatives.Adverse reactions during use were reported by 182(96.81%)of patients surveyed.CONCLUSION The self-made Chinese medicine mouthwash from Yuquan Hospital has garnered high acceptance and satisfaction among patients who consider it safe and effective for oral care purposes.Future improvements can focus on enhancing taste and packaging while tailoring specific prescriptions based on different types of oral diseases in order to enhance patient's oral care capabilities.
