Abstract： Objective:To analyze the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of monkeypox patients in Nanning,Guangxi.Methods:The data of 33 patients with monkeypox admitted to our hospital from July 2023 to March 2024 were analyzed retrospectively,including demographic characteristics,epidemiology,clinical manifestations,etc.Results:All 33 patients were male and positive for monkeypox virus by PCR.29 patients were men who have sex with men.The main symptoms were papulovesicle(100%),fever(57.58%),pruri-tus(42.42%).The rashes were mainly on the anus,perineum and genitals(81.82%),trunk and limbs(51.52%),head and face(21.21%).Among the 22 hospitalized monkeypox patients,14 were positive for HIV.There were no statistically significant differences between the HIV-positive patients and HIV-negative patients in monkeypox virus CT value(herpes fluid),rash crust-time,and length of hospital stay.Conclu-sion:The monkeypox infected population in Nanning area of Guangxi is mainly MSM,and the rashes were mainly on the anus,perineum and genitalia.The severity of monkeypox was similar HIV-positive patients and HIV-negative patients.
