Abstract: The pathogenesis of diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN)is driven by environmental factors, which can induce epigenetic changes and make it a bridge between environment and gene expression.Hyperglycemia causes changes in DNA methylation, abnormal regulation of enzyme activity involved in his tone modification, and is associated with chromatin structural modification, leading to alterations in DPN gene expression. This article reviews the research progress of epigenetic effects on DPN.
