Abstract: Chronic shoulder pain(CSP)is a common functional limitation disease with complex etiology that significantly impacts patients'quality of life. The goal of treatment is to relieve pain and restore movement and function. There are a variety of treatment options, including topical and oral medications, corticosteroid injections, physical therapy, and surgery. In recent years, nerve blocks, pulsed radiofrequency, and cryoneurolysis have become mature methods for the treatment of chronic joint and spinal pain through targeting relevant nerves, but there are relatively few clinical studies on CSP,and the results of domestic and foreign literature are inconsistent.Progress in ultrasound equipment and regional anatomy has expanded their clinical applications. This article focuses on the distribution of shoulder nerves, neurotherapeutic targets of CSP,neural targeting technologies,as well as related research progress, offering new perspectives and methods for further clinical treatment.
