Abstract: Botulinum toxin(BTX),which is derived from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum, works by inhibiting the release of neurotransmitters from nerve terminals, thereby blocking signal transmission and reducing muscle activity.BTX injection is currently the most widely used non-surgical cosmetic procedure worldwide, and its application is widely used for contour modification.Regarding the long-term effects of botulinum toxin injection on muscle and bone motor function, there are available data confirming its potential adverse effects, but there are also contrary views. These will be summarized and summarized in this article. In general,BTX can be safely used in muscle modeling, but it is recommended to carefully consider contraindications and avoid excessive or frequent injections.
