Abstract: Irritable bowel syndrome with constipation(IBS-C)is a subtype of irritable bowel syndrome(IBS).Because its exact pathogenesis is not clear, there is no specific method in terms of treatment, mainly based on laxatives, but it is difficult to achieve satisfactory efficacy in completely relieving symptoms and preventing recurrence. In recent years, the continuous development of new drugs and the update of relevant clinical guidelines have further developed the diagnosis and treatment of IBS-C.Based on this, this review focuses on the current research progress in the treatment of IBS-C,in order to provide evidence and support for clinical practice.
