Abstract: Objective To determine the secondary metabolites of Marsupella commutata(Limpr.)Bernet.(M.commutate).Methods The ethanol extract from M.commutate was isolated and purified by MCI,silica gel,LH-20 gel,C18 reversed phase silica gel column chromatography and high performance liquid chromatography.The structures of the compounds were identified by spectral data analysis.Results Totally 6 compounds were isolated and identified from M.commutate,including neryl hydroquinone(1),(R,Z)-2-(3-hydroxy-3,7-dimethylocta-1,6-dien-1-yl)benzene-1,4-diol(2),didehydroconicol(3),2,6-dihydroxy-3,4-dimethylbenzoic acid methyl ester(4),ethyl orsellinate(5),and ethyl haematommate(6).Compound 2 inhibited the transcription of pro-inflammation cytokines IL-18,and the intracellular expression of iNOS and TNF-α.Conclusion Compounds 1~3 are prenylated hydroquinone derivatives,which are isolated from M.commutata for the first time,and compounds 4~6 are resorcinol derivatives.Compound 2 can inhibit the inflammatory responses of lipopolysaccharide stimulated RAW264.7 cells.
