Abstract: Salvianolic acid compounds serve as pivotal constituents in Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge.,exhibiting diverse pharmacological effects such as cardiovascular protection,anti-tumor activity,and anti-fibrotic properties.The establishment of microbial cell factories aiming at synthesizing of salvianolic acid A,salvianolic acid B and rosmarinic acid and other salvianolic acid compounds can realize the heterogeneous and efficient synthesis of salvianolic acid compounds,and relieve the clinical pressure in the use of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge..This paper summarized the synthesis biology of salvianolic acids,key catalytic enzymes of biosynthesis and metabolic regulation of salvianolic acids to provide scientific basis for efficient synthesis and resource application of salvianolic acids.
