Abstract： As the microscopic structure of the body,Xuanfu has the function of circulation of gas and liquid,infil-tration of blood,and operation of the spirit machine.If the stagnation of Xuanfu causes the obstruction of the rise and fall of qi,blood,fluid and liquid,and the disdistribution of water and liquid,it is the key to the occurrence of Meniere's dis-ease.Aquaporin is a small molecule transmembrane transport protein,which is expressed in different tissues of the inner ear and is an important reason for the histopathologic state of the inner ear:hydrops of the membranous labyrinth.This ar-ticle discusses the similarities between the functions and structures of Xuanfu and aquaporins to explore the etiology and pathogenesis of Meniere's disease.It provides a theoretical basis for further understanding of Xuanfu theory and its appli-cation in Meniere's disease.
