Abstract： Nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC)is a malignant tumor that occurs in the nasopharynx.Perianal abscess(PA)is rare during NPC radiotherapy and chemotherapy.Based on the analysis of the overall concept of Traditional Chi-nese Medicine,it is believed that the occurrence of PA in this patient is closely related to the deficiency of vital energy and circulation of the nasopharyngeal meridians during NPC radiotherapy and chemotherapy.The deficiency of the patient's vital energy can easily lead to the accumulation of heat,phlegm,blood congestion and toxins.The clinical manifestations are usually dysfunction of the lungs,spleen,kidneys and liver.After differentiating the syndrome,the patient can be treated with traditional Chinese medicine,such as clearing heat and detoxification,dissolving phlegm,dissolving stagna-tion,promoting qi and clearing the nasal passages.It has been found that it can effectively improve the patient's vital en-ergy and reduce their uncomfortable symptoms.
