Hip fracture is a severe injury commonly seen among middle aged and elderly individuals. The incidence of hip fracture keeps increasing as a result of the rapid development of aging of the social population. Reasonable treatment and scientific management are needed in orthopedics due to the particular hip anatomy, the complex biomechanical environment, the poor physical functions in the elderly coupled with the severe complications which can compromise the life if treated improperly. However, it is still in dispute on the current emergency treatment, therapy options, perioperative management and rehabilitation training.
