A new contrast echocardiography using hydrogen peroxide is reported, it works on the principle that the catalytic action of the peroxidase of the hydrogen peroxide releases oxygen microbubbles which change the homogeneity of the blood and produce echoes when ultrasound waves are passed through the blood. It is proved experimentally that after intravenous peroxide injection whether satisfactory intracardiac contrast echoes appear on the echocardiogram or not is related to the concentration and amount of the agent injected at 1 time.
